Ground Floor Slabs
Ground conditions can affect ground floor slab design and construction.
Bearing capacity, the effects of trees, depths of made ground and slope of the site are all considered when providing recommendations, which might include the provision of a modulus of subgrade reaction or CBR value, for ground floor slab design and construction.
Existing floor slabs and underlying sub-base can also be investigated and assessed for the suitability of supporting a mezzanine floor or additional surcharges.
