In common with most years, this summer, we will be a taking on a student for paid work experience.

Work might include general support to other engineering geologists, groundwater monitoring, gas monitoring, sample collection, walkover surveys, soakaway testing, desk studies and factual report writing. Essentially, a broad introduction to ground investigation and engineering geology will be provided.

The successful candidate will be a high-calibre undergraduate or recent graduate in geology or a related discipline, with an aptitude and/ or interest in engineering geology/ geotechnics and contaminated land.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

In the past, this position has often led to a permanent role and it is foreseeable that we may have a vacancy in September.
