Simon Ruddlesden BSc (Hons). MSc. DIC. CGeol. FGS. EurGeol.
Director
A Chartered Geologist with over 25 years of experience, Simon graduated from the University of Liverpool in Geology and Physical Geography, before working for a large site investigation contractor. He went on to obtain MSc Engineering Geology from Imperial College, London, and then worked for a small multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Exeter, where he successfully built and ran a geotechnical department.
In 2004, he formed Ruddlesden geotechnical, where his knowledge of the geology in the South West together with his awareness of appropriate engineering solutions and communication skills has enabled the company to grow into a well-respected geotechnical and contaminated land ground investigation consultancy.
Simon is a Qualified Person for the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste: Development Industry Code of Practice (DoW CoP) and is also a trained mentor and scrutineer for the Geological Society of London's Chartered Geologist scheme.
As well as general company management, including an active involvement in training, Simon checks most technical reports and carries out site visits.
